Job Title: Azure DevOps Engineer

Educational Qualification: B. Tech, B.E, M.E., M. Tech in Computer Science, or other engineering/technical equivalent degree.
We are looking for an experienced Azure DevOps Engineer to build, deploy, automate, and operate cloud-native services on Microsoft Azure. The role combines Azure platform engineering, CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, observability, automation, and application support.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps for build, testing, release, and deployment.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration using Terraform / Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
- Improve the reliability, security, and performance of Azure workloads and Integration Services, including Azure Functions, App Service, Containers, Service Bus, API Management, Entra ID, Managed Identity, Key Vault, and Redis Cache.
- Implement observability using Application Insights, Log Analytics, and Azure Monitor, covering logging, metrics, traces, dashboards, and alerting.
- Standardise deployment practices across Dev, Test, UAT, Pre-Prod, and Production environments.
- Support release governance, including approvals, change documentation, release notes, and rollback/mitigation plans.
- Collaborate with development teams to resolve application, deployment, and platform-related issues.
- Triage and respond to support tickets and ad-hoc requests; communicate status and escalate when needed.
- Perform daily health checks (dashboards/alerts) and investigate failures (e.g., 5xx errors, failed requests, exceptions).
- Monitor Azure Service Bus queues/topics (incl. DLQs) and coordinate remediation or bug creation.
- Log work, actions, and outcomes in Azure DevOps; raise defect/improvement items to prevent recurrence.
Must-have skills
- Hands-on experience delivering and operating workloads in Microsoft Azure.
- Strong Azure DevOps skills: repos, pipelines, environments/approvals, artifacts, and release practices.
- Infrastructure as Code experience (Terraform) with good reviewing/testing discipline.
- Troubleshooting production issues using logs/metrics/traces; comfortable with incident triage and root-cause analysis.
- Good understanding of networking and security basics in Azure (VNets, private endpoints, RBAC, Key Vault).
- Working knowledge of Git and modern SDLC practices (branching strategies, code reviews, automation).
- Clear communication skills (written and verbal) and a collaborative mindset with developers and stakeholders.
Nice-to-have
- Azure certifications (any of): Azure Administrator, Azure Developer, Azure DevOps Engineer Expert.
- Experience with Azure Functions, API Management, Service Bus, and Cosmos DB.
- Experience designing monitoring standards.
- Scripting/automation skills (PowerShell, Bash, Python) and/or strong coding (C#) fundamentals.
